How can I contact Drake Waterfowl?

You can send us a message through our Customer Service Center, or call us at (662) 895-3651. Our phone lines are open Monday–Thursday, 7am–4pm CST, and Friday, 7am–noon CST. For full contact details, visit our Contact Us page.

Orders & Shipping

Can I order directly from Drake Waterfowl?

Yes. You can order online at drakewaterfowl.mom. The online payment is secure and your information never leaves our secure servers. The website is secure and tested daily to ensure your personal information is safe.

Will Drake Waterfowl ship outside the United States?

We don't currently ship internationally, but many of our retail partners do. Search online for Drake retailers that ship internationally, or visit a partner such as Mack's Prairie Wings.

Do you ship to Alaska and Hawaii?

Yes, we ship to all 50 United States.

Can I special-order a different camouflage pattern, size, or style?

No, we don't offer special orders at this time.

What happens if an item on my order is out of stock when it's packed?

Occasionally an item sells out faster than our online inventory can update. If that happens, we'll either cancel the item and issue a refund, or contact you about a comparable substitution. We won't substitute with a higher-value item, and no discount is offered as an incentive to accept a substitute.

What happens if my package is lost or stolen after shipment?

If you selected OrderProtection at checkout, your shipment is protected from loss or theft. Orders without protection are not covered for loss or theft after the carrier confirms delivery. We recommend shipping to a business address or another secure location whenever possible.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

Please see our Return Policy here.

How long do I have to return an item?

You may return eligible items within 30 days of your purchase date. Regular-priced items qualify for a full refund if they're clean, unworn, and returned in their original packaging — including hangers, bags, tags attached, and wader boxes. Closeout, Pit, and Final Sale items are not eligible for return.

How do I start a return?

Visit our Return Policy page and follow the instructions there.

Is there a fee to return an item?

Yes. Returns are subject to a $7.95 handling fee, which is deducted from your refund amount.

Can I exchange an item instead of getting a refund?

Yes. When you start your return, you can choose to exchange the item, receive store credit, or be refunded to your original form of payment. Once you've selected an option, it cannot be changed by Customer Service, so choose carefully.

I purchased with a GovX discount. Can I return my item for a refund?

Full-priced items purchased using a GovX discount are eligible for size exchanges only, not refunds.

How long does it take to get my refund?

Refunds are typically issued 3–5 business days after our Returns Team receives your returned package. It can then take up to 10 business days for the refunded amount to appear in your account. Please allow additional time during peak shipping periods and holidays. Refunds (and original charges) will appear on your statement under Icon Outdoors, LLC.

Will all returned items be accepted?

Returned merchandise is inspected before a refund or store credit is issued. Items that show alterations, undisclosed damage, or wear — and are no longer in resalable condition — will not be accepted.

Do I get a refund to my original payment method for returned sale items?

Sale items that are returned are refunded as store credit (gift card), not to the original payment method.

Product & Sizing

Where can I find the right size for my product?

Look for the sizing-chart icon on the product page. Select it to open the size chart for that specific product. You can also view all of our sizing charts on the Sizing Charts page.

Can I get notified when a sold-out item is back in stock?

Yes, for items that aren't Closeout, Pit, or Final Sale. On the product page, select the size or color you're waiting for and enter your email address in the restock notification field — we'll email you as soon as it's back in stock. Clearance items are not restocked.

How do you pronounce "Eqwader"?

"EEK-wah-der" — like the word "equator," which reflects the two distinct zones of the Eqwader clothing system.

What temperature range should I dress for in each clothing category?

As a general guide (adjust for personal cold tolerance and layering): EST (Early Season) suits 60°F and up, MST (Mid-Season) suits 30–60°F, and LST (Late Season) suits 0–30°F.

How do I maintain or restore the waterproofing on my outerwear?

Our waterproof outerwear has a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish that beads water off the fabric. Over time, dirt and body oils reduce this performance — wipe the fabric down regularly with a damp cloth rather than letting buildup sit. If a garment starts leaking (common after 3+ seasons of heavy use), re-treat it with an after-market product such as ATSKO® Water-Guard Extreme™, following the product instructions.

What's the best way to wash down clothing?

We recommend professional cleaning by a service that specializes in down — ask your local dry cleaner. If washing at home: fully zip and secure the garment, turn it inside out, wash on gentle with baking soda or a mild powder detergent, and run two rinse cycles to fully clear the detergent. Tumble dry alone on the lowest heat setting, checking periodically so the down doesn't clump. Don't dry in direct sunlight.

What's the best way to wash waterproof clothing?

Usually, a damp cloth or hand spot-wash under running water is enough. If machine washing: brush off dried mud and debris, empty all pockets, machine wash cold with baking soda or a detergent made for sportsmen, and hang to dry indoors, out of direct sunlight. Don't machine dry — heat damages the waterproofing and voids the warranty — and don't iron.

Waders & Warranty

How do I know what size waders I need?

Check the sizing chart on our website.

What's the difference between stockingfoot and bootfoot waders?

Stockingfoot waders have a sock-like neoprene foot and are worn with a separate wading boot, giving you better ankle support and traction on uneven ground — a common choice for hunters who do a lot of walking to and from the blind. Bootfoot waders have the boot built directly into the wader, so there's nothing extra to buy or lace up, making them faster to get on and off, which many hunters prefer for boat or layout blind setups where mobility on foot matters less.

How are breathable waders different from neoprene waders?

Breathable waders are lightweight and versatile — you add warmth through layering. Neoprene waders have built-in insulation, which sets a fixed comfort range. Breathable waders are generally the more versatile choice for waterfowl hunting.

How do I clean and store my waders after a hunt?

Hose off mud before it dries and cakes on, especially at the knees and boots. Dry them by hanging upside-down or laying flat, out of direct sunlight once dry. Don't leave wet waders folded up or rolled in a vehicle or mud room — hang or lay flat. Use an electric boot dryer when needed.

How do I clean the inside of my waders?

This usually isn't necessary, but if needed: wipe dried mud or stains with a wet cloth (avoid abrasive brushes), then run the boots on an electric boot dryer for 30–45 minutes to help with odor.

How should I store my waders long-term or in the off-season?

Make sure they're fully clean and dry. Lay them flat or folded rather than hanging — hanging by the shoulder straps can stretch them, and hanging by the boots strains the boot-to-neoprene seam. A plastic tub works if space is tight. Avoid high-heat storage spots like an attic.

How do I repair a tear or hole in my waders?

Clean the damaged area of mud and debris, let it dry fully, then apply a repair product such as AquaSeal or Loon Outdoors UV Wader Repair, following the manufacturer's instructions.

What is Drake's warranty on waders?

Most current wader models are covered by our 3-Year Replacement "Strap to Sole" Warranty, and one model — the BMF1600 Kevlar Wader with Primaloft (DF2601) — is covered by a 4-Year Replacement "Strap to Sole" Warranty. See our full Wader Warranty page for complete terms.

What does the wader warranty actually cover?

To be eligible, the defect claimed must result from manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. Drake Waterfowl is not responsible for normal wear and tear, or for failures caused by abuse, accidents, alteration, modification, misuse, or improper care.

How do I file a wader warranty claim?

If you purchased directly from Drake, visit the Returns/Exchanges/Warranty Portal to start your claim — you'll need your original order number and other order details. You're responsible for shipping charges to send the waders to Drake; we'll cover return shipping on the replacement wader.

If you purchased from an authorized Drake dealer, enter a ticket in our Customer Service System to begin the process, using the name on your Warranty Registration. If your exact wader model is unavailable, we'll offer replacement options (upgrades may require a fee). You'll receive a Return Authorization Number (RA#) to include with your shipment, which should be sent using a trackable service.

Is there a warranty on items other than waders?

Yes. Drake Waterfowl stands behind all our products, built with industry-leading materials, workmanship, and technologies. If you encounter a defect in materials or workmanship on any item, enter a ticket in our Customer Service System for a warranty evaluation.

Submissions that don't meet these criteria won't be reviewed, and any unsolicited ideas become Drake Waterfowl's property.
